Developed by the same brains behind Afterpay BNPL, Clearpay allows you to shop online on your own terms by making it possible for you to spread out your payments into a number of interest-free installments.
Some online stores allow you to pay in part with Clearpay and in part with gift cards, in which case you can complete paying your installments sooner. Really whether you pay with Clearpay alone or in part with combination to gift card, the idea is to make online shopping less financially straining.

What is Clearpay?
Clearpay is a digital payment solution established to transform the way you shop online. Currently available only to UK residents, Clearpay lets you buy goods now and pay them later. That way you can own the products right away as if you paid for them in full.
To be clear, Clearpay hasn’t made any announcement about venturing into other countries yet. So if you don’t live in the UK and would like to take advantage of a flexible payment plan for online shopping, you should use Afterpay instead.
How Does Clearpay Work?
Clearpay and Afterpay are services provided by the same company. And it’s quite interesting that they work the same way, with the only difference being that Clearpay is currently available only to residents in the United Kingdom.
But just to reiterate for you, and especially if you’re new to the BNPL thing, Clearpay allows you to split payments for products you buy online into four installments.
You’ll make the first deposit at checkout and the store you shop at will have your goods delivered to your doorstep depending on their shipping policy. Since the stores ship only in the UK, you can expect your products to reach you within a short time.
Then every two weeks, Clearpay will charge your credit card for the remaining payments until your purchases clear.

One thing that stands out about Clearpay is that it partners with hundreds of UK stores to give you a flexible payment plan. So whether you’re on a tight budget or you believe making payment in parts gives you greater flexibility, Clearpay can make a big difference.
